A painting exercise.

I am looking for feedback!!

I was focusing on colors, shading, etc...and I know it can be a lot more...dynamic but it's just practice. So tell me what i can do to improve this...



Anyway:

I love Native American men and not because they're gorgeous but because, to me, they epitomize "Still waters run deep". I can't imagine what it's like for them, hardly having the means to do what they know they need to do to take care of themselves and their families and I know a vast majority of them do their best. If you've ever met a native man than you probably understand the shear raw spiritual energy they possess and, for once, you feel connected to the world and everything around you. It's refreshing.

And they've been vilified something awful...SO, I drew a Native man; peaceful, calm, smiling. A point of view that is different from the every day sterotypes. especially with his attire...honestly, they probably didn't wear the war bonnets, shield, armor, etc for every day activites.

PS

I might use this design in a small sequential piece in a few days. gonna goof off with SAI and see how far I can push in terms of comicing. (weee, adverbs!)
