True story.
Quick disclaimer:
I use my original comic book 'Descendant' as examples, therefore, I should let you know it's copyrighted; the story and the characters.
I woke up to 100+ messages and, if I try to thank you all individually, the system will think I am spamming SO, I would like to thank everyone for the favs and I'm glad so many people find it useful.
I also forgot to mention, if you have any suggestions for different pages, let me know and I will add it to the kit.
May I ask you something? It's a little stupid, I know. >u< In your manga, Descendant, on page #3 [link], there is a very well made tree. Still, the leaves have no contour at all! Did you only use screen tones to do it? Or you used some brush or something? Thank you.
I used a rendered photo...if I added any more detail I may as well just hand draw everything and who has time for that? I think it's acceptable and...I'm still on the journey to mastering backgrounds for my comics so it'll improve as the story goes. Glad you like the kit.
Totally agreed. I, sometimes, use lots of references, too. And, I still have a trouble and half to make my backgrounds... -___-'
Also, I am enjoying your manga quite a lot. Even though it's a little different from my style, it's proceeding swiftly and it's simplified enough so that you don't take too much time on it. Really good!
How do you do your storyboard, and your pages? You sketch them on paper or you do it directly on the computer? I merge them both, sometimes doing the sketch on the PC (mostly scenery) and other times on paper. Especially when doing positioning, I still rather do it on paper.
Also, how long do you take on making a whole page? I'm taking about a page or two/day, and I think I'm taking way too long... I hope you don't get offended for too many questions, I'm sorry for taking your time like this... >__< Still, thank you so much ;D
